“Okay for 1 night but don't stay in #233”

  , San Angelo
I was a little concerned when we pulled in. The outside of the hotel is very plain and you could see either water or mildew stains on the outside of the blinds in many of the rooms. There was only 1 front desk clerk but he was very nice and efficient even though there were 5 or 6 impatient people in line. Our room #233 was very roomy and nice but it was right above the sliding doors of the lobby. The whole time we were in the room we heard the rumbling... all night long. Also, you had to actually slam the door to get it to latch. We realized this after we got back from dinner and although the door looked closed and latched, it pushed open when I went to insert my key card. The pool and hot tub water was a funny shade of green and smelled like mildew. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. The breakfast seating was limited and not clean. There wasn't a whole lot to choose from and the food area wasn't kept clean. The inside of the hotel and rooms are very nice and modern, a big surprise from what you would expect judging from the outside.
