“Unbelievable Front Desk "Manager"”

Let's see where should I begin? For starters I was a little bit ahead of schedule so I decided to stop in at the front desk and see if they had my room available by chance. I walked up to the desk where I first met Brandon, the manager, or so he claimed as i am still not comepletely sure what his title is at the hotel. I let him know I had a reservation and asked if an early check in would be possible . Brandon called housekeeping and quickly notitfied me it was not available. This was fine as I had reserved the "Penthouse Suite" which there are only a few of and check-in was not until 3:00 pm. I sat in the lobby to wait for it to become available. Around 3:00 pm, Brandon calls my name and I approach the front counter only to be told the Penthouse Suite is still not available but he can downgrade me (At the same Rate) to a double queen townhouse I believe it was called... I had already waited three hours so I quietly accepted this . I ended up staying a few extra days, but since it was not pre-planned I had to reserve the room each morning if I was going to be staying and this was fine and didnt give me any issues, was even able to upgrade to the Penthouse suite, which I must say I was very impressed by the new furniture and great layout of the room. On the fourth day of my stay I woke up , had breakfast in the main building, and by 8:30 am had made my reservation on the Wydham website for the Penthouse Suite, received a confirmation nummber and even verified with the lady working in the front that it was good to go. I notified her that I would stop by the office in order to take care of the check-out/in process. At 11:48 (48 minutes past the hotels standard check-out time) I received a call in my room, it was Brandon, the :"manager" from the front desk. He spoke very rudely and basically told me "The room type you have a reservation for (The Penthouse Suite) no longer exists and you will have to check out today because I have someone here waiting to check in. it was 11:48 AM and when I attempted to check in to the same room just days earlier I had to wait three hours then was downgraded and he actually came beating on my door threatening to call police if I wasnt out in fifteen minutes. Im not completely sure but I was told the State of Texas is required to treat hotel rooms as your residence for the entire time you occupy a room, additional charges may be applied, but they cannot kick you out of a room if you are paying the bill. NEVER STAY HERE
