“You could smell unlawful drugs in the hallway”

We reported that we could smell someone smoking something that smelled illegal and there response was oh that must be Mr. (name unknown). so they were aware that this was an issue already. We had small children with us and we were afraid of them breathing in some of whatever was being smoked. Front desk informed us that they have had issue with this guest in the past but still aloud this guest to continue this on property. We had two room for 6 days and were not happy how the hotel was ran. We made reservations at least 1 month in advance letting them know we need two rooms near each other but they could not have been further away from one another and then had the nerve to yell at us for the 2yr. old excitedly running to grandma and grandpa room in the middle of the day. She was not yelling just the patter of her little feet which was not loud. Then at Breakfast all the associates are allowed to go through the breakfast while the guest wait and then the staff has the nerve to say Im sorry we no longer are offering or making a certain breakfast item. They should have to wait until after the guest dining time to go through and they do without if they decide not to make more of something. As I said we were there for 6 days so this was observed daily almost unless we got up real early for breakfast. You also have to walk to the property next door to swim because the water at this property was sooooo cold. The rooms were nice and this property has great potential if they would just make a few changes to there policies. Biggest concern was their lack of concern of putting our children and our grandchildren in a harmful situation by not addressing the smoke smell coming out of a guest room. the smell was so strong you could smell it on the next floor down and down the hall and around the corner. We had to leave the property several times due to this for the day. It has been 4 months since we have been there and I am still very upset on how they handled things there so I thought I would share my thoughts.
