“unfortunate recent stay”

I started a survey, didn't finish don't know where it went but this is important as we do plan to stay with you again. I made reservations ahead of time, I am disabled but also had recent surgery on my foot,I was assured a first floor room we were put on second floor told nothing was availableon the first. Remodeling was happening causing confusion among employees, as the usual amenities were packed, not available even though they had been requested while setting up reservation. Also the refrigerator did not work & all the food we brought for our stay spoiled overnight our first night.the room we were given was to be remodeled after or stay with new one.not having enough food for trip, very uncomfortable. I don't understand why we were not allowed a new room?? We were also given wrong directions to the hotel and ended up an hour south before getting correct directions. Other than those material issues the employees were wonderful, the room was not. We plan to continue to stay there in future however. We do love the hotel.
