“Decent place...horrible guests...hotel should have taken charge”

  , Rochester
This is a typical, run of the mill, side of the road establishment. It doesn't appear run down or anything but the decor in the rooms could certainly use an upgrade. The 1995 maroon drapes tell me that it's been a while since this place has been remodeled. The Room - spacious, adequate but tired looking. The valances over the windows has obvious dust built up on them and there were cobwebs over the light fixture in the bathroom vanity area. Furniture has seen better days - table legs were wobbly.Staff - front desk staff were very nice. The maids were nice as well, BUT the maids were typically dressed in Wyndham t-shirts and sweatpants with their hair pony tails. At times, I wasn't sure who was working there or who was pilfering stuff from the carts in the hallway.Other guests - this is what ruined this place for me. We were there for a wedding and there were a minimal amount of other guests from the wedding at this same hotel. It turns out that some townspeople from a town not too far away were staying the weekend in the hotel for a bowling tournament. That is fine. Bowling is fun. But when you are told by them in passing and by overhearing that the main reason that they are there is to get drunk. Friday night they were sprawled out in the lobby couches, in the breakfast area, outside...drunk, swearing and smoking. Saturday morning at breakfast, we had to overhear some of them burping, declaring that they were still drunk (loudly), yelling at the breakfast attendant "where's the pig", dropping f bombs every other minute...Saturday night was the same deal. We came back from the wedding to them drunk in the lobby again and listened to one of them farting as we waited to the elevator (next to the couch he was farting on).I think the hotel staff should have told these folks that there were other guests at the hotel and that they needed to be respectful. If they wanted to be drunk, do it in your room. Not in the lobby. I would've thought the hotel had more respect for their reputation than for the reputations of these folks.
