“A Little Surprised”

The hotel looked like it had reached its prime 10 yrs. ago! The rooms were dirty, well used, couches smelled, and just had an overall feel of not being fresh or a nice hotel. The beds were clean and the linens were fluffy and comfortable, but the beds sagged. Everything was dusty and the bathrooms had mold around the corners of the bathtub and toilet. The shower curtain was ripped and would not stay closed. There were hairs everywhere even attached to the drinking glass. We did not spend much time at the hotel. We tried to order room service, but it is an outside vendor who took an 1 1/2 to bring our order which was missing the salads and my daughter's meatballs she ordered on her spaghetti. We had to call 4 times. I would not recommend this vendor. There are plenty of restaurants which were much better and quite a bit faster for the price.The printer for the lobby computer woud not print which made getting boarding passes a nightmare. We had come back to the hotel after a long day of showing horses and were frustrated at the problems we expereinced with the hotel lobby computer. The front desk person was kind enough to let us use her computer. The breakfast was not good, just average. We opted for the Waffle House just down the road which was fabulous, although in a scary location. The group of hotels which surrounded ours seemed nice, but the location had people wandering around who definitely did not belong there. I would probably book a hotel near the airport or in the Polaris section of town next time we come to the Quarter Horse Congress.
