“Disappointed”

When booking this trip, which was to visit my niece who was competing in a figure skating competition, I did not realize this Hawthorn suites was an extended stay hotel. This meant that on the weekends there were no employees to clean my room. That meant I could not get towels for my room unless I asked for them at the desk. Talking to someone at the desk was difficult since there was always a sign at the desk to pick up a phone for help. Of the six days of my stay, checkin , checkout and sunday morning were the three times an actual person was at the desk. That was very unnerving to me since anyone could have walked into the hotel without notice. There is a camera system, however my question to the staff was who actually is watching the camera? Sunday morning, I did request my room cleaned since I was unaware no service was available. Communication by the staff could have solved most of the problems.
