“Misled & Disappointed”

I am a Wyndham Rewards loyalty member and was misled by a Wyndham promotion to stay at this "new" Wyndham property. This property is not new, and I could not tell that it had been updated in any way. Because I was only staying at this hotel after being lured by the false advertising of a Wyndham Rewards promotion, it was important that my stay be recorded correctly by the hotel staff simply as a check in and check out, and although I prepaid and was given a statement with an unexplained balance upon checkout, my stay was somehow misrecorded by the hotel staff as a cancellation. I'm not sure how this was possible since the hotel staff gave me a receipt the next day. After several phone calls, I had to scan and email the hotel receipt to prove my stay to Wyndham Rewards customer service, who refuse to pick up the phone to contact their own property to resolve an error in their own database. Do not participate in a Wyndham Rewards promotion without expecting to work hard to make their promises happen. I am disappointed in their advertising and their customer service. This Hawthorne Suites is an old hotel. You will owe a balance even if you prepay, and they do not keep accurate records.
