“Handicap Accesibility”

  , Saint Charles
The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. We stayed in Room 141, which was supposed to be handicap accesible. There was plenty of room for the power wheelchair. The air conditioner in that room is extremely loud, but worked well. But I have spinal and hip problems, and the toliet was not ADA height. Even my sister, who is not disabled had issues. So, I had to use the public restroom in the hallway, which had a wonderful handicap stall. Also, the bathtub was terrible. It was short and the bottom was rounded, which was very slippery. The shower bench provided was nice, but didn't fit in the tub. Also, there was not a handheld shower head. So, my partner could not take a shower all weekend. On the bright side the sink was wonderful, with easy accesibility. You might want to consider making one of your room with a roll-in shower. We have stayed at many Baymonts, and they usually have at least one room that is perfect for wheelchair users. We hope to come back to the Indianapolis area someday, and would like to stay at your lodge again if you could make the bathroom more accomadating for wheelchair users. Thank you, Adele
