“Extended stay, but I'm glad we didn't have to extend”

The room was spacious and the kitchen was stocked with the appropriate items, beds were comfortable, area was quite and the TV worked fine. The bathroom was quite dirty (hair on the floor, which was never swept during our stay), the overall appearance of the room was run down and it smelled of smoke in the room. The AC didn't work well enough to cool the loft upstairs. Upon check in I paid in full in cash, the agent didn't want to provide a receipt, she said "her system would give me one at check out." I insisted that I needed one or I'd have to get my cash back and pay upon departure, and in seconds she provided it. The coffee pot glass was broken. I left a note attached to it for two days, it was never replaced, but instead put back under the coffee pot and the note was set on the counter. I brought it to the front desk, she said she didn't have another one. She said housekeeping was gone for the day. I asked if there was a vacant room to get one from and she said she couldn't but could have one brought the next morning. I said I didn't have coffee for two days and wasn't going to hope they brought one before I left at 7am the next morning. She said she'd get one when the next shift clerk came on duty. An hour after the next shift person was on duty I went back to the front desk, he knew about the issue, and asked the housekeeper standing next to me to get another one! Poor front desk staff, but if you are persistent, they will get it done!
