“Nice Room, Unprofessional Staff”

Upon check in, the front desk yelled to a women behind him to have her check if there was a room clean for us, it was well after normal check in time, so I felt this was a bit odd. They found us a clean room, had me sign a registration card and then handed us our keys. Not only were we not asked if we had stayed before or knew where we were going as far as how to get to the room, but we were not asked for ID or a credit card. This made me uneasy because it seems anyone could have went to the front desk, gave my name, and they would have been given my room with it paid for on the credit card I made my reservation with.We went up to our room which was very nice, but hot, it was a warm day & the ac was not put on for us. Other than that the room was great. We had an issue with the cable, and the unprofessional staff struck again. I called down to ask the front desk if there was anything they could do to fix the cable as every channel said "scrambled channel, check antennae signal". The man who checked us in answered and stated there was nothing he could do, that it was the dish due to the weather. My issue with this explanation is that it was not storming out, there were mild showers on and off. I stay at a hotel to get away and relax, not having cable, or any TV channels that will play, is a big issue. Other than that, the stay was fine.
